The U.S. bishops and homosexual priests

"Red Hats, bishops, you go about earth oppressing the children of God, but you neither chastise nor condemn the evil ones in your House, the Church." - Our Lady of the Roses, May 3, 1978

U.S. News & World Report states that the clergy sex-abuse scandals are “revealing a bureaucracy unable--or unwilling--to keep discipline within its own ranks” (“Unholy crisis,” February 11, 2002, p. 25). These scandals are sure signs that certain priests and bishops have apostatized from the Catholic Faith.

In February 1961, the Sacred Congregation for Religious issued the following statement: "Advancement to religious vows and ordination should be barred to those who are afflicted with evil tendencies to homosexuality or pederasty, since for them the common life and the priestly ministry would constitute serious dangers.... They are not fit subjects for the religious life."  The Holy Father’s spokesman, Joaquin Navarro-Valls, recently stated that no man demonstrating homosexual tendencies can be ordained to the priesthood.

Many of the U.S. bishops do not listen, nor do they obey.

Cover-up by bishops and cardinals

Not all the bishops are at fault. Archbishop Chaput of Denver, among others, has complied with the Holy Father and has protected his flock. Others have not. Cardinal Law failed in his duty. Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles said he would support victims of long-ago sexual abuse who want to break confidentiality agreements now and talk, but stated he would not release the names of their abusers. Adding injury to insult, Mahony said that the subject of marriage in the priesthood should be open to discussion, although the Holy Father has said the subject is closed.

Former Bridgeport, Connecticut Bishop Walter Curtis covered up. Curtis testified in 1995 that the diocese deliberately shuffled pedophile priests throughout parishes to give them a “fresh start.” In addition, Bishop Curtis admitted destroying records of complaints against some priests.

Cardinal Egan (while Bishop of Bridgeport) failed to take seriously a dozen people who made complaints of sexual abuse against Fr. Raymond Pcolka of Greenwich. Egan said, “the 12 have never been proved to be telling the truth.”  But there is no evidence that attempts were even made to seriously investigate the truth of their allegations: accusers were not interviewed, witnesses were not sought (sound familiar?).

The website Roman Catholic Faithful ( www.rcf.org ) reports that The Philadelphia Inquirer ran a story that “detailed the fact that the Archdiocese of Philadelphia let attorneys, who worked for its insurance company, harass, intimidate, and actually file lawsuits against people who simply informed officials in the archdiocesan chancery office of instances of misbehavior by priests.” This article by Thomas Droleskey goes on to say that “the very people who should be trusted to deal with matters that pertain to the salvation of souls and the physical protection of the flock are the most untrustworthy, crafty, devious, self-serving people imaginable, concerned only about legal and financial liability, not about the objective truth” ("The hypocrisy is astounding," Thomas Droleskey).  Evident mounts of payoffs in exchange for silence. U.S. News & World Report quotes a woman, dismayed at parents receiving money from Church officials in exchange for silence on abuses. She writes, “Shall it be construed that multiple families put a price on their children’s safety without taking responsibility for seeing that this never happens again to anyone else? What parent in good conscience would take money for silence, knowing that other children would be subject to abuse in the house of God?” (“Letters,” U.S. News & World Report, March 18, 2002, BC-7)

Patrick Buchanan laments, “Many of the highest prelates in the American Church have failed dismally in their stewardship and should be stewards no longer” (“Clean house in the Catholic Church,” WorldNetDaily, March 19, 2002). Newsmax columnist Phil Brennan writes: “At a time when the Church needs warriors to carry the fight against a virulent form of out-of-control paganism, it has produced a confederation of ecclesiastical wimps willing to stand mute in the face of the rampant depravity sapping the nation's moral strength” (“Emitte Lucem,” Phil Brennan, March 20, 2002).

A quote from A.W. Richard Sipe’s book, Sex, Priests and Power: Anatomy of a Crisis, shows just how far gone things have become:

“There has been a nationwide pattern which I have observed over the last 35 years. Bishops know of ongoing sexual misconduct by Catholic priests and religious and bishops co-operate to keep such misconduct from becoming public knowledge. The following are uniform practices: failing to investigate indications of any sexual misconduct, even with children; failing to supervise properly the cleric in his assignment, failing to ensure that the cleric is prosecuted for misconduct with children. Once an incident occurs, energy and policies at the highest levels of Church authority have been directed to damage control, avoidance of scandal at all costs, and efforts to placate and manipulate victims and families” (Sipe, A.W.R. Sex, Priests and Power: Anatomy of a Crisis, Brunner/Mazel Publishers, New York, 1995, p. 16).

An article from the Cincinnati Enquirer confirms Sipe's observations. From a case in August 2001, District Judge Doug Grothaus scolded the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for allowing a child molester to coach girls when they knew his past. Judge Grothaus is a Catholic. He recalled an earlier case in which ex-priest Earl Bierman was convicted of molesting young boys for years, a fact that Church officials allegedly keep quite until Bierman's conviction. Judge Grothaus urged parents to sue the Archdiocese because, he said, "That seems to be the only way we are going to keep the church, and other organizations, from sweeping these incidents under the rug" ("The judge vs. the archdiocese," Cincinnati Enquirer, August 26, 2001).

The maneuvers and dodges that are outraging Catholics throughout the United States have a name: it’s called the “chancery two-step.”  Only because some bishops and cardinals have been brought to court are they now forced to do what they were bound to do many years ago. St. Thomas Aquinas writes that the laity have a duty to publicly rebuke clergy when the faith is in danger (S. Th., II-II, q. 33, a. 3). Homosexual-pedophile priests, and bishops who give them safe haven, fit this category.

It’s a homosexual problem

A Texas lawyer, Sylvia Demarest, has for many years tracked allegations against priests throughout the United States. In a WorldNetDaily article, “She told the Washington Post that her updated list of priests who stand accused of molesting children will reach 1,500 names--representing about 2 percent of the 60,000 priests who have served in the United States since 1984" (“Catholic bashing and pedophile priests,” March 25, 2002).

According to an article in The Boston Globe, the Church “has repeatedly declined to undertake its own study of the prevalence of homosexual or sexual abuse among priests....” The article also says that “Roderick MacLeish Jr., a Boston lawyer, said 90 percent of the nearly 400 sexual abuse victims he has represented are boys, and three-quarters of them are post-pubescent.”  Fr. Donald B. Cozzens, a seminary rector in Ohio and author of The Changing Face of the Priesthood, emphasized, “roughly 90 percent of priest abusers targeted boys as their victims.”

Fr. Fiore, in an interview with WorldNetDaily, insisted, "The problem is not clerical pedophilia," Fiore told WND, "but homosexuality." The distinction is important, Fiore noted, because most victims of Catholic clergy abuse are adolescents. "Strictly speaking," Fiore stated, "pedophilia is the sexual molestation of a pre-pubescent child of either sex," but the overriding problem is the abuse of older children from 12 to 18. "More than 90 percent of the cases," Fiore observed, "involve the clerical molestation of teen-age young men."

The article goes on to say that “Fiore was a close friend of priest/author Malachi Martin and supplied Martin with significant material for his later works” ("Gay culture in Catholic Church grows," Toby Westerman, March 24, 2002). This point is significant because one of the last books Malachi Martin wrote before he died was Windswept House, a riveting novel which described a satanic ritual in the Vatican that was simultaneously coordinated with another similar ritual taking place in South Carolina. Many people regard his book a mere fiction, but Martin's affirmation that his book described a real satanic ritual at the Vatican was confirmed by John Loeffler, host of the Steel on Steel radio show. Mr. Loeffler personally asked Fr. Malachi Martin (who had been a regular guest on his show) about the reported dedication to satan within the Vatican:

"You know Malachi confirmed--the first part of his book, Windswept House--he confirmed the dedication of the Vatican to satan in a secret ceremony that occurred unknown even to the Pope at that time, that he managed to pick up. And I did ask him, 'Was this true? Did it happen?' And he [Fr. Martin] said, 'yes, it did.'" - John Loeffler (July 29, 2000 radio show)

A WorldNetDaily article reports that “In the early 1990s, a group of priests, including Fiore, assembled a dossier on ecclesiastical problems in the U.S. The information was carefully collected and documented with guidance on Church law given by the Rev. Alfred Kunz, a canon lawyer.  Kunz also assisted in the founding of Roman Catholic Faithful. In 1998, Kunz was mysteriously murdered, and the police thus far have been unable to make any conclusive progress toward solving the murder. Fiore described Kunz as "having no enemies--except those who hated the Church." ('Gay' culture in Catholic Church grows,” Toby Westerman)

A woman by the name of "Agnes" (pseudo-name) has sworn a deposition that as a girl she was ritually raped in South Carolina by Cardinal Bernardin when he was a priest. This information corresponds to the satanic ritual described in Fr. Malachi Martin's book, Windswept House, and this information was probably included in the dossier that was passed directly into the Holy Father's hands, before Fr. Kunz's murder.

The liberal media is having a field day spinning the homosexual-pedophile crisis as a celibacy problem, as was done by the New York Times. WorldNetDaily columnist Ann Coulter exposes the New York Times' bias, responding that “... the overwhelming homosexual nature of the abuse prompted The New York Times to engage in its classic ‘Where’s Waldo’ reporting style, in which the sex of the victims is studiedly hidden amid a torrent of genderless words, such as the ‘teenager,’ the ‘former student,’ the ‘victim’ and the ‘accuser.’”  She then concludes that the media is attempting to spin blame from the real problem, homosexuality in the priesthood, to celibacy. She says there is no logic to this theory, but “is nothing more than liberals reacting to the concept of sexual restraint like The Exorcist’s Linda Blair did to holy water”  ("Should gay priests adopt?" WorldNetDaily, March 20, 2002).

The homosexual problem within the priesthood is identified by Our Lady of the Roses message:

"I will not stand for My priests who condone homosexuality and allow it in My priesthood!... I will not stand by and allow My priesthood to be destroyed!" - Jesus, June 18, 1982

John Paul II: men with deviant affections cannot be priests

ABC news reported on September 5, 2002:

Pope John Paul II said on Thursday the Roman Catholic Church had to be much more careful not to let men with "deviations in their affections" enter the priesthood to preserve the Church.
He also re-affirmed the Church's rule on celibacy, saying it should not be seen as a "useless" imposition but a vital part of a tradition in which the priest offers himself unconditionally to God.
The pope made his comments, his latest in a series on the crisis rocking the Church, in a speech in Portuguese to Brazilian bishops visiting his summer residence south of Rome.
He said the Church had to be careful not to allow men who had what he said were obvious "deviations in their affections" from entering seminaries to train for the priesthood.

Our readers may recall that two high ranking clergymen in the United States, Bishop Wilton Gregory and Archbishop Gabriel Montalvo (amongst others), have publicly rejected the Vatican position that homosexual men cannot be ordained and have even attempted to hide information from the public:

Bishop Wilton Gregory, head of the NCCB, publicly disagreed with the Vatican’s February 1961 policy forbidding ordination of homosexuals on Meet the Press (June 16, 2002), when asked by Tim Russert: “Can a homosexual be a healthy, happy priest?” Bishop Gregory replied: “I think we have some who are. I think we have men who have embraced the promise of celibacy irregardless of their sexual orientation, and they have lived it with integrity.” [note: 90% of the sexual abuse cases were by homosexual priests who BROKE their vow of celibacy].   Tim Russert then asked Bishop Gregory: “The Pope’s spokesman, Navarro-Valls, had this to say: ‘Pope John Paul’s spokesman, Joaquin Navarro-Valls, questioned whether ordination of gays were even valid. ‘People with these inclinations just cannot be ordained.’ [New York Times, March 3, 2002] Do you agree with that?”  Bishop Gregory’s response: “I believe that that statement was perhaps more expansive than the tradition of the Church. It seems to me that the Church has spoken about living a holy integral life in a much broader context than that.”

The U.S. Papal Nuncio Archbishop Gabriel Montalvo refused to release a copy of the Vatican’s February 1961 document that states: "Advancement to religious vows and ordination should be barred to those who are afflicted with evil tendencies to homosexuality or pederasty, since for them the common life and the priestly ministry would constitute serious dangers” (no condemnation of the U.S. Papal Nuncio by the American bishops has been forthcoming).

The REAL Third Secret

The homosexual-pedophile problem is but a symptom of the much larger problem: satan has entered into the highest realms of the Catholic Church, which is the REAL Third Secret of Fatima. Bishop Alberto Cosme do Amaral of Fatima on September 10, 1984 gave this great insight into the Third Secret: "Its content concerns only our faith. To identify the secret with catastrophic announcements or a nuclear holocaust is to distort the meaning of the message. The loss of faith of a continent is worse than the annihilation of a nation." Cardinal Oddi also made a revealing statement concerning the Third Secret, explaining why the year 1960 may have been so significant for its release:

"What happened in 1960 that might have been seen in connection with the Secret of Fatima? The most important event is without a doubt the launching of the preparatory phase of the Second Vatican Council. ... I would not be surprised if the Third Secret alluded to dark times for the Church ... If we consider the grave crisis we have lived through since the Council ..."

The REAL Third Secret continues to be suppressed by the Catholic hierarchy, just as the homosexual-pedophile problem has been suppressed.

Clear Vatican statement: "a person who is homosexual or has homosexual tendencies is not, therefore, suitable to receive the sacrament of sacred orders."

"I am your God, and I say unto you:  continue to change My Church and you will fall!  You will build a secular church, bringing in all--even heretics, even homosexuals.  All aberrations condemned by the Eternal Father, you will permit in the name of humanism.  Nay, no!  I say unto you as your God.  You will be given a short reign, for I consider you then an abomination, and as such you will be removed." - Jesus, May 23, 1979

The Dec. 8 -14, 2002 issue of the National Catholic Register reports:

Ordaining homosexuals "is absolutely inadvisable and imprudent and, from a pastoral point of view, very risky," wrote the Vatican's point man on the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments in an official communication.
Cardinal Jorge Medina Estévez, responding to a letter from a bishop, added that "a person who is homosexual or has homosexual tendencies is not, therefore, suitable to receive the sacrament of sacred orders."
The Congregation (Vatican Department) for Divine Worship and the Sacraments published Cardinal Medina's letter in December in the congregation's bulletin. It was written last May to an unnamed bishop who had inquired about the propriety of ordaining homosexual men.

A February 1961 Vatican document also clearly states: "Advancement to religious vows and ordination should be barred to those who are afflicted with evil tendencies to homosexuality or pederasty, since for them the common life and the priestly ministry would constitute serious dangers.”

Yet when the U.S. bishops met in Dallas this past June, they couldn't even agree that the role of dissent and homosexuality in this catastrophe was worth studying. This prompted Bishop Bruskewitz to call them this "hapless bench of bishops."

"I will not stand for My priests who condone homosexuality and allow it in My priesthood! I will not stand for My priests who allow the murder of the unborn with their permissiveness! I will not stand by and allow My priesthood to be destroyed!" - Jesus, June 18, 1982

Our Lady of the Roses Bayside messages
These messages came from Jesus, Mary, and the saints to Veronica Lueken at Bayside, NY, from 1968 to 1995.

SATAN ENTERED THE CHURCH
"Ho
w I warned and warned that satan would enter into the highest realms of the hierarchy in Rome. The Third Secret, My child, is that satan would enter into My Son's Church." - Our Lady, May 13, 1978

SATAN SAT IN ON VATICAN II
"I say this evening, as your God, that on that date, as promised at Fatima, satan entered My Church upon earth. He brought with him his agents--and satan himself, the deceiver of all mankind--sat in on Vatican II and maneuvered all the outsiders to come in and distort My doctrines and distort the truth. At Fatima, My Mother tried to warn of this coming event, but who cared to listen? Who was interested in listening?" - Jesus, June 18, 1986

A SECRET WAS TO BE REVEALED
"I counseled you at Fatima, and who gave My counsel to the world? Pride and arrogance anew! A secret was to be revealed, and who counseled and prepared the world for the onslaught of Satan into My Son's House? No one!" - Our Lady, December 3l, 1977

THE FAITH IS SHATTERED FOR MANY
"I gave Lucy the Revelation as a temporary secret--as I revealed [the Third Secret] to you on two occasions. Make a concerted effort to bring its entirety to Our children on earth. The hierarchy have not listened to My counsel--thirty-two years lost in indecision and fear of exposure. The Faith is shattered for many." - Our Lady, April 29, 1992
