35 years away from the Catholic Church

Dear Veronica,

     I should have sent this letter years ago. I just want to tell Our Lady of the Roses followers that there is no one beyond forgiveness.
    Before I went to Bayside, I was away from church and Our Holy Lady for 35 years. I never went to church or received the sacraments, used the Lord's name in vain, read trashy books, and committed countless sins.
     I was hopelessly addicted to diet pills for 35 years, and I am 60 years old. I did anything to get the pills; and were my life. I lied for them, went to all different doctors to get them, groveled for them, lied and cheated for them.
     After I went to Bayside my life changed since 1985. I gave the pills up, go to Church as often as I can, receive the sacraments as often as I can, kneel for communion, and never wear slacks.
     I know Our Lady of the Roses led me back to her Son who loved me and waited for me all those years.
     I love our Holy Lady and Her Son more than I ever dreamed I could.

SISTER DIED WITH SACRAMENTS

October 9, 2002

My sister had been away from the sacraments and Church for 35 years. When she was diagnosed with lung cancer, she went to confession, received the sacraments and prepared well for her death. She died wearing the scapular, crucifix and medals. She also received the Last Sacrament.

Mrs. Cerminaro was informed by her doctor that she no longer had diabetes and that her blood pressure was normal, after she had suffered from both for five years. She had given up all hope of recovery and only accompanied her brother to the Bayside grounds out of desperation:

"I was away from the Church for thirty-five years; I am now a regular attendee of the Vigils, and have returned to the Church; in addition, my husband, who has been away an equal length of time, has also returned. I attribute all of this to Our Blessed Mother and Bayside."
