WELL OF CURING

The well of curing will arise, and man will not stop the waters from flowing.

WEAKNESS OF MANKIND

August 11, 1979

Dear Veronica:

On June 7, 1979, my sister Joan MacIntyre was rushed to the hospital with cirrhosis of the liver. The attending physician said there was no hope. Three nights later, the doctor said she would not live through the night. I put the rose petal from Bayside on her and prayed to Our Lady of the Roses. The next day my sister came out of the coma and responded to the medicine. She went back to Church after twenty-five years and received the Sacraments. The doctor was amazed and had no explanation for her recovery. Enclosed is a statement from the family physician stating her recovery was nothing short of a miracle. Thanks to Our Lady through the rose petal.

     I'm writing to witness what I consider to be a miracle through the intercession of Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers. I have had a hearing problem for many years and discovered lately it was getting worse. The doctor advised me to have an operation first in one ear, and six months later the other ear.
     While I was recuperating and still under the doctor's care, my brother-in-law brought me a medal from the Bayside, New York Shrine. I pinned the medal to my person and prayed to the Blessed Mother that I wouldn't have any difficulty with my ear that was operated on, plus knowing full well that in six months I would have to go into the hospital for my other ear.
     On my last visit to the doctor, while examining the ear he operated on, he decided to examine my other ear so we could make future plans on my upcoming operation. To his amazement my punctured ear had healed. When I asked him how could it be, he said it could only be explained as a miracle!
     When I went home and was explaining it to my family they reminded me of the medal from the Bayside Shrine, and I knew then that the Blessed Mother had heard my prayers and granted me the miracle I was praying for.

"My mother is seventy-eight years old and has rheumatoid arthritis. On the evening of August 10, 1989, my mother, father, and myself placed the rose petals over my mother's sore. While doing this we prayed the Rosary. After going daily to the hospital for therapy, for her sore, the sore began to heal by itself. This had taken placed after our praying.
"The doctor in charge of my mother's surgery and therapy was amazed and said, 'it was a miracle,' so did the nurses at the burn center in St. Mary's Hospital which were treating my mother everyday." (J.R., Tucson, AZ, Sept. 24, 1989)

   "For several months I had been suffering from diabetes. My brother, Rafael, brought me a petal blessed by Jesus and Mary, and I have had it with me ever since.
   "When I went for consultation to the doctor's, he smelled a strong aroma of fresh roses, and after smelling it several times, he told me: the result of this exam is a miracle, you are well, but it is necessary to continue having blood exams every so often, to prove that you are totally cured.
   "After several months I had the last exam taken. I feel perfectly well and, as proof, I am sending the result of the last exam, which proves that I am totally cured.

"My niece Melinda D'Souza had a rare type of typhoid and was admitted in Holy Family Hospital, Banda on 25th Dec. '90. In 2 days, she became much worse, doctors said she had only a few minutes to live and should be given Extreme Unction at once. While her brother ran for a priest, I ran home for some blessed rose petals which I distributed among the relations gathered there. We all prayed to Our Lady with tears in our eyes. After 1/2 hour doctor said there was slight improvement and by next morning she was completely out of danger. The doctors themselves were surprised and said it was a miracle. After a month or so she resumed work.

"My father was critically ill for 6 months. He was in and out of intensive care at least 6 times. He has had a history of heart problems since he was 36 or 38 years old. Eleven years ago he had a triple by-pass and an aneurism.
"This year he went into congestive heart-failure; at that point he weighed approximately 220 pounds. His health was critical. After his quadruple by-pass this year the doctors gave him 6 months--a year to live. He is 62 years old. His body began rejecting all medicine. He lost weight down to 143 1/2 pounds. He was not able to even hold water on his stomach. They told us our only hope was a heart transplant.
"I prayed one night over my father and asked Jesus to please give him a miracle and if He couldn't to please help him to carry this heavy cross.
"I wrote a letter to the Vigil of June the 18th 1991. I found a rose petal and placed it under his pillow. From that day on my father has held all of his food down and is now 163 pounds. He is grouchy like he used to be--he even swam 3 laps across the pool 2 weeks ago. He is going shopping and to the beach.
"I believe my father is a receiver of a miracle. I talked with a nurse whom followed his case from beginning to end. She said, 'I hope you know your father has received a miracle.'" (B.B., Springhill, FL, August 8, 1991)

"I received some rose petals and sent some to my sister's mother-in-law in Canada. Her son Dennis was very sick the doctor was to perform a big operation on him to remove the front side of him it was very bad. His mother told Dennis to put the rose petals on him that was the night before the operation. The next day he was in the hospital and before the operation told his doctor that he was fine. The doctor said to him impossible then the doctor ordered X-ray to be taken before the operation and he was cured the doctor was in shock and he said this is a miracle. We know it was that dear Blessed Mother and Her dear Son Jesus that healed my brother-in-law." (P.T., Central Falls, RI, August 9, 1991)

February 20, 1989

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

            It has been more than two months since I wrote you a letter because I found out about the wonderful apparitions of Our Lady, and as soon as I could I wrote and I was sent some documents, medals and rose petals.
            The medals were given out and photocopies were taken of the documents and the rose petals were given to needy people.
            The wonderful thing about all this is that the Virgin has placed her eyes on our town, because I am happy to tell you the Virgin has interceded for two children, both between 5 and 6 years of age, both with cancer; one in the kidneys and the other in the spinal cord, and blessed (is) She because She has cured them and the doctors say that this can only be a miracle; Glory to Our Mother.
            In my case, my life has changed for the better, thanks to Our Lady of the Roses.
            On the other hand I would like for you to send me more information, if it were possible, as well as more medals and rose petals, because a lot of persons from where I live want to have them.   The reason I am asking this is that the majority of the people from where I live are poor or have many children, and they don't have the time nor resources to do it.
            Thank you very much for your attention to this humble letter and I hope you may answer soon.
